Description/Job Summary

FamiliesFirst Network of Lakeview (FFN) represents a partnership with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to provide an array of foster care and related services in coordination with network partners. The network includes DCF, Lakeview Center (as the lead agency), judiciary, sub-contracted service providers, foster parents, the Circuit 1 Community Alliance, agency stakeholders, and the community working together to implement the legislative mandate for community-based care. Services include: case management for out-of-home and in-home placements; foster home recruitment, training, recommendation for licensure, and support; adoption support; an independent living program; dependency court resource facilitation; sub-contract management; and other services related to abused and neglected children and their families.


Responsible for working closely with CWCM and CWCM Supervisors, as well as system partners and parents on out-of-home cases to promote and administer the Conditions for Return process to ensure that timely and concerted efforts are made toward reunification. System partners includes CLS, GAL, Judiciary, AAL, case management, parent attorneys, CPIs and lead agency staff.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Sciences or Social Work field Master's Degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience as child welfare professional
  • Certified Child Welfare Professional
  • Deemed as Proficient or Safety Practice Expert (SPE) in Safety Decision-Making Methodology preferred.
  • Knowledge of Child and Family Service Review (CFSR) preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the child welfare system of care, Florida Administrative Code, Florida Statutes, CFOP and the Adoption Safe Family Act.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to interact with and maintain high morale among employees
  • Demonstrate cultural and linguistic competence and sensitivity to population served Ability to travel
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.
  • This position is funded for approximately three (3) years.
